??? 325/25ZR20 ExtremeContact DWS 20x11 Will it Work

I am looking for a quiet riding tire and the Continental ExtremeContact DWS gets rave reviews, the only issue is that they come in 295 or 325. I read in one of the threads that the Conti 295 is too small for 11 inch and that the Conti in general wall height is lower, where a PS2 295 was even height with a 305. My question is that I have a 997 C4 and looking at 20x11 rear wheels, will the 325 work? I appreciate the responses.

Yes it will work. I am running the P-zero 325 on my 2007 C4S. I've had them on my car for about 1 year without any issues.

Thanks tlis300, is the signature picture the car you are referencing, looks cool and lowered. Can you post a larger picture?

Found this wheel and tire size comparer calculator in another post http://www.rimsntires.com/rt_specs.jsp and it was extremely helpful when comparing 235/25/20 size specs on 11 inch wheels versus 12 inch wheels. The only difference is the backspace is not as wide on the 11 inch which means the tire will not be as stretched, something Matt from GMP had also pointed out to me in a pm, that the 325 is a little stretched on 12s. I am betting with the more rubber and less metal it will be a little lighter and a better ride. Below are the specs from the calculator which also included a extremely nice visual graphic of the two wheels and tires with the different dimensions.

Wheels: ----1Wheel ---- 2Wheel
size----20x12 ET ----5120x11 ET
BackSpace ----216 mm (8.5'')---- 203 mm (8'')
Rim Lip---- 13 mm (0.5'') ----shorter 13 mm (0.5'') wider

Tires: ---1Tire--- 2Tire
size--- 325/25-20 ---325/25-20
Section width ---325 mm (12.8'') ---325 mm (12.8'')
Sidewall--- 81 mm (3.2'') ---81 mm (3.2'')
Tire diameter ---670 mm (26.4'') ---670 mm (26.4'')
Rim sizes ---20x10.5 to 20x12.5--- 20x10.5 to 20x12.5
Circumference--- 2104 mm (82.8'')--- 2104 mm (82.8'')
Revs per mile--- 765--- 765

Although I was extremely hesitant to run anything but Michelin Pilot Sport Cup tires. I am now a believer in Continental ExtremeContact DWs. I highly recommend these tires. 325/25ZR20 over 20x12.

evolveC4 is infamous around these parts
The Extremecontact DWS is great tire, just put them on my car and drove from Southern Cali to Vancouver, drove in heavy rain and snow, they performed very well.
