This works well for 3M material only. Do not use this solution on VentureShield or any other film without asking your installer first. Alchohol can ruin the finish of other films very quickly.

Clear Bra Maintenace and Another Reason to Have One...

Clear bra's are great to protect your car's paint but it is not just for rock chips. Check out his link: http://www.facebook.com/?ref=home#!/...d=127511233839

As for maintenance to clean and protect your clear bra use these two purpose made products:

XPEL PPF Cleaner (16 oz)

XPEL Paint Protection Film Cleaner is designed to extract most environmental deposits such as tar, oil, hard water stains, bug acids and other contaminants from Polyurethane paint protection films. Its deep cleaning action restores the clear, glossy, freshly-installed appearance of the original film.
Part Number: R1331
Our Price: $19.95

XPEL PPF Sealant (16 ounce bottle)

XPEL Film Sealant is an acrylic polymer product that is purpose-made for protecting any aliphatic urethane paint protection film. Attaching itself at a molecular level, the sealant forms a hardened barrier when exposed to UV light. By sealing off the pores in the film, the sealant will reduce absorption of pollutants, tar, and pollen; as well as staining due acid rain, hard water and bugs by 90%. Because this product is engineered specifically for Aliphatic Polyurethane, it is much more durable on Paint Protection Film than other waxes and polishes. Apply XPEL Film Sealant monthly for maximum protection.

Part Number: R1326

Zaino and other products look nice but they dont protect the clear bra over time. To properly maintain your clear bra looks for your car be sure to us a wax that does not contain naptha or any petroleum based product. That is what can cause discoloration and haze or yellow your bra.

Could you not just put a bra on it for the track days only. Seems like a few chips and some repaint would suffice. I have yet to see a picture of a car where it is not noticable and as I said before, I hate cleaning around it. Taping off seems like a pain.

On my black car I noticed color differences after just 5 months and I park in a garage.. no extra sun.

The 3M X-Pel is not easy to get on or off. So, if you get it, you would want to leave it on. I've had it on several cars and I've treated it just like I treat the paint, with no problems. I think it does a great job in protecting the finish.
Just my $.02.

There is some temporary track film that you can buy but it is still time consuming to take on and off.

I have attached a couple of links of high quality photos and videos for your review. I want you to tell me if the XPEL Premium clear bra on the following cars are noticible. If they are... how noticible are they?

We feel that it is the quality of the paint protection film and the installer that make all the difference. With other clear bras the orange peel is noticable. If you dont have the right PPF intstaller their work isw noticable too.
