Porsche Battery Charger

Hi all.

I was given a Charge o Mat 980-611-981-00 battery charger by a friend and I have a question to anyone else out there that has one.

My battery is charged, but my Targa is going to sit for the next week so I plugged in the charger. When I plugged it in, the LED on the charger did not come on. Is it supposed to? Did it not come on because the battery is charged? Does it only come on when it is actually charging?

Also, if anyone has a copy of the instruction sheet they could mail/email/fax to me it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Regards,
Frank A.

Problem solved. The fuse for the cigarette lighter was blown.

I would still appreciate a copy of the manual if anyone has one they can copy and send. Thanks.

Regards,
Frank A.

I recommend using the 12 volt outlet in the console....much more robust fuse. Cigarette lighter is good for.......smokes.

Porsche recommends the cigarette lighter outlet, which is protected by a higher current fuse...

Hi Frank

Just came across your post.

I too have been given a Charge o Mat 980-611-981-00 battery charger with my Porsche that I have bought.

I was just wondering if you managed to get a copy of the user manual? and if you did would you mind emailing me a copy.

Many thanks

George
