PSE factory option, should I have a button on the dash?
Just for fun I ran the VIN decoder on my 06' 997S to see the options it was equipped with and in addition to the short shifter, it said sports exhaust system. (Option ILXF if I recall) I don't however see a button on the lower part of the dash to enable/disable it. Should there be one?
This is my first 997 so please pardon my ignorance if I'm missing something.

If you also have the sport chrono option, all you need to do is hit the "sport" button and it will engage the sport exhaust. If you do not have the sport chrono option, then there should be a button that looks like 2 exhaust tips instead.

Oh, yes I do have the sport chrono as well. I wasn't aware that served as the "loud" button. Much appreciated, thank you!
So if I have it correct, the sport button adjusts the throttle sensitivity, stiffens the shocks and makes the exhaust louder. Additionally, I can dial the dampers back to "normal" by pressing the damper button while still leaving the rest of the sport buttons effects in place?

While we're at it, is there any harm in pressing these buttons (Sport, PASM, PSE, etc.) while the car is being driven? I normally activate or deactivate them at stop lights or before I pull out of the garage, but is it OK while driving down the highway? I'm assuming there's no harm...
