2005 997s convert vs 2010 Jeep SRT8

I have both the cars. The jeep feels so much faster 0 to 60 and the qtr. mile. Is the porsche really slower? Does anyone know the offical stats for the 2005 997s?

simple explanation:

that's the effect you get when driving/riding in something not solidly built... you always 'feel' like you're going much faster than you actually are

(ever ride in a powerboat at 30MPH... it 'feels' more like 60...)

You need to get out where you can time from a 120 roll to 160 to figure out who wins.

With a good driver the Porsche will be quicker everywhere. What you're feeling in the SRT8 is very deceptive trickery called "torque".

If you want a real test of performance, do a 0-100-0 test. It is important for a vehicle to be able to stop as quickly as it accelerates.

Do the test 10 times and see if the Jeep can even stop

Why does it matter?

Turbo S will kill them both - always somthing faster than something else...

Jeep SRT8 0-60 4.6 sec (R&T), quarter mile in 13.2 @ 104.1

Pretty insanely fast for 4805 pounds!

And 420 lb-ft of torque feels fast I'm sure. You can't beat big American muscle for cheap torque!
