Need some help on pricing
#17
I have never seen the car in person but based on your description located the listing .
Here's my opinion - 78K is a lot of money to spend .
It's my opinion that if one is going in this deep he ought to either buy a new car or a used car where he knows the owner and the car's history . To simply purchase the car from an independent lot at this price sounds like too much risk .
Ideally the used car shopper is searchng in the 50-65K range .
Over 70K it ought to be new ... or a Turbo.

At 18K miles, it hasn't been a garage queen and without CPO.....
Fwiw, in Sept 09 I paid $75K for an 08 C4S with 1,400 miles and a $130K sticker and then $95K for an 08 Turbo with less than 8,000 miles in May 2010. Also received $70K trade-in at that time so can't complain. Both were P-dealers and the Turbo is CPO'd.
I think you can do better if you're not stuck on a Targa. You probably can snag a low(er) mileage 07 Turbo for about that money if you look around. That's the great thing about used Porsche's; so many people buy them and just let them sit in the garage or trade them in every year for a new one. Find one of those. Best,

I read into this shortly into this thread . It's a tough car in many ways because it is rare and the buyer has specific interest. It's hard to buy, hard to sell, hard to price . That why my first choice was to buy it new and custom order the car . But if green and those options are so close and the 74K brings it all home then buy it and enjoy it.

Base C4 optioned to within 10K of a new base turbo when new. TO me its crazy.
If you are going to keep this forever then go for it. If you get bored quickly, I think you will lose quite a bit AND have difficulty selling it. Good luck.
