What would you choose? RED or Black 2006 997
Hey guys,
I am negotiating buying two different cars and could you use your advice. What would you do?
2006 Carerra S Cab - Color is red/black. private owner. 12000 miles for $50K-51K. Has nav, sport chrono plus, bose+, heat seats, upgrade rims. perfect history and excellent PPI and DME.
Or
2006 Carerra S Cab - Color is black/black. dealer. 18000 miles for $48K. Has bose+, heat seats, (no nav..but I got the drive), sport exhaust. Perfect history and excellent PPI and DME
I'm pretty torn between the two. I had a red one before and I don't want to stand out that much..but the red one is local, has better mileage and sports chrono and nav (two items I would love to have). After tax/ship nav install the black one will probably equal the price. So it probably comes down to resell value. My guess is that black/black porsches sell better than red ones. Any idea of what you guys would do?

True, red stands out more than black but red is easier to maintain than black. Put a similar red & a black porsche side by side & more people will gravitate towards the red porsche. Take the red!

Both are standard colors . Oddly enough those who don't like either choice stand firm on why they don't like the color . I happen to love black cars and am open to red as a choice too (love the Gt3 in red) .
The idea of buying the car locally with 6K less miles does sound appealing . The local shop possibly knows the car and that is somewhat of an advantage . That's the one which gets my vote.
