Porsche Roadside Assistance Expiration??
Hello All,
My warranty on my 07' C4S is scheduled to expire in February 2011. Is there also an "expiration" on Porsche Roadside Assistance? Or is it "lifetime" for owners?
TIA

During new car warranty and CPO period, if CPO'd.
Seems like AAA has a decent replacement many credit cards (e.g. AMEX) and car insurance plans cover a few incidents and short distance tows - check into all that so that you don't pay for redundant services. Make sure you consider worst case tow distance as it can be VERY expensive for 50 miles or more.

Yep, roadside expires along with warranty. I only realized this myself recently. Hadn't even thought about it to be honset. I have until May but will start looking into other alternatives like AAA. I'll also see what my Amex Platinum offers if anything.

Just to share, I called AAA to confirm and they will cover flatbed tow service; you just have to specify at the time you call for assistance.

Yes, I've had AAA in the past and the dispatcher always asks if I have all wheel drive or lowered suspension requiring a flat bed...even if not, you still have the right to request the flat bed - never had any issues.

If the Porsche dealership is beyond 100 miles the extra miles are billed at about $2.00 per mile. It's a pretty good deal..

I had to use AMEX 3 times last year. They paid for a battery boost while I was stuck on a trip to Key West. I also had to tow 160 miles from home to my house due to HPFP as I found them to be faster than Porsche for me regarding the tow and my location.
They allow 3 free services a year with a Platinum or Gold card membership. If I am stuck on the road I prefer to call AMEX as they appear to do anythin it takes to get you off the road and secure you and the car.
I stopped using AAA sometime ago as I feel they nickel a dime you for milage and request for specific vehicles. IMHO

Have to call, but that $50 value - - I had what would have amounted to an $800 flatbed tow last year....courtesy of PCNA RA.

And no extra charge for that? Wow - that's why I say I have to call for details. The info on the WEB says $50 value, but a 160 mile tow is much more than that. That's great if they do that.
