do you like your 4 or 4s?

While they may be popular I will never be a fan of them particularly on a black car. Black wheels, black car with black tires, the stealthy monochrome look for sure. On some of the lighter colors they don't look as bad and with a polished rim it takes away from the blandness of the black wheels against the tires. A little too over done I guess to my eye. OMHO.

That's correct. However, the new Carrera GTS does have the widebody, and it's two wheel drive, but that's a completely different thread...

I love my C4S!....so much so that I was going to only use it on dry days (in seattle) and use my Merc for bad weather...no need to say this but the Merc gets hardly driven. Now I want to get a set of snow tires so I can drive in the snow...everything I hear is the car is a beast in the snow with right tires.

My 2004 C4S was totaled last October, and I replaced it with a Cayman S. I love the Cayman, but the C4S from the back was the prettiest car I've ever seen . . .

I also have an '09 "Launch C4S which replaced my '05 C2S Actually took awhile to sell the '05 so had both for awhile. The '09 with PDK, etc is a fantastic ride but definetly felt "heavier" in the steering than the 2S. Also had a significant amount of understeer at the track. Just figured it was that old 4 wheel drive thing. Took it in to have it aligned at a local Porsche independant and gave them the alignment specs that I wanted (from a search on this site). The car was transformed! even on the street. The factory setting had too much toe in front and rear, too little camber on the front and too much on the rear! For all you 4 people out there, get your alignment set properly You'll love the difference!

Interesting...I had the same experience when I test drove a 2S and 4S before my purchase. I actually liked the 2S better because it was lighter but I really wanted AWD....I also liked the rear end better on 4S so in the end I got the C4S with PDK.
Interesting on the alignment...Just had the car at the dealer yesterday because I told the delaer that the rear camber seems too agressive ...can you send me the link for the alignment settings. Are you saying the car got lighter all round...was there any downside to the change?

thanks, car forums are never friendly to the wallet. When you see a member buy/do something new and cool, then the ideas start kicking in.

The alignment settings that I ended up with for primarily street use and occasional track are F: total toe +6' (original was +45') camber -32' each side (original was -28' and-12') R: total toe +20' (original was + 1x34') camber is -1x32' each side (original was -1x56' and 1x52'). I haven't tried it on track since the change. I'm sure it will be better but I really don't expect GT3 results. Hope this helps
