This is your other option. A really good set of all season will be able to get you around if you plan to do very minimal amounts of cold weather driving. I will caution, the Conti Extreme Contact are not even close to as good as a snow tire if you are actually planning to drive in the snow. More on that if anyone cares...

I've always used Michelin Arctic Alpins and never had issues. They're a bit softer feeling than summers, more squishy as you can feel the tread squirm. I don't drive the same in winter as I'm trying to preserve the softer tires for at least three seasons. With all the sand on the roads, carving the bends could put you in to a snow bank
