So....
doesn't that mean that the new 911 will be a 2013?

I know there were times when the 997 was out but the turbo was still a 996, but this black edition is a base Carrera, not a turbo? The new car is likely to debut at Frankfurt show in September, and if it goes on sale in the US the following spring (March 2012) it could conceivably be a 2013 model right?

Luckily, the 911 is evolutionary and not revolutionary -- such that each successive model retains so much of the legendary silhouette!

It does seem like there are more specialty / limited editions now than in any previous variant. Let's review: there is the 997 GTS and the 997 speedster. The INCREDIBLE 997 Sport Classic.
