HRE Competition Series Wheels
Does anyone have pictures of these wheels in 19" on their Porsche? I would really like to see the C21's in charcoal if someone has them to share. Any feedback would also be great, thanks.

sorry i have no pictures to share but i think that the HRE C21's would loook great in charcoal on a black 997s such as yours, esepcially mounted in front of the yellow PCCB calipers. the wheelexperts 997s (black) had gold center C21's i think, and it looked great. i believe charcoal would be a more subtle and fitting finish to the black 997S IMO. the c21's are rare, and my favorite design of the competition series. i believe EL750 had pictures of HRE C21's in charcoal on his hobbystage website, and the C21's looked gorgeous. i can only imagine that they would look flawless on a black 997S...very clean, sporty, yet not overagressive or busy. very fitting to the 997S imo. go for it

I do not like the step lip on the C series.....Yes I know they are light and all but for me looks come first since I hardly track....they were also more $$$ than the 840R series when I last checked if memory serves...

Msindi, you are incorrect about price. According to John Wallace from HRE, the Comp Series wheels are less expensive than all "R" series wheels. The main reason I was considering the C21's was that they are lightweight, 3 piece and better looking than comparable 3 piece wheels (with stepped lip). In addition, I don't want to buy a wheel that is heavier than my stock Carrera S wheel (lobster fork). I have been told by various wheel sponsers that any reverse-drop wheel will be heavier than the lobster forks. The "lobster forks" are the lightest 19" wheel Porsche has made weighing in at 22 lbs/front and 27 lbs/rear. Nonetheless, you are right that straight lip looks better. I guess for me perf and handling come first and that is why I opted for ceramics. I would hate to think that I am defeating the purpose of the $8k ceramics by adding unsprung weight. Thanks for your input!
