Gundo hack making a ruckus in Cincinnati
I've had the hack on my 997.1 since last April, but it does seem louder in colder weather. I was at a diner a couple weeks ago (late) and came out and gave it a cold start. There were 3 guys crossing the street about 50 feet behind my car. All 3 heads jerked around to find out what in the hell that beautiful sound was at start-up. As I did a U-turn and passed by them, I got 3 thumbs-up.
The other thing is taking the car through tunnels. It has that beautiful reverb in the tunnels when on the throttle. I can only imagine what it's like with a Cabriolet.
And of course, when on the highway, when you pass somebody, they KNOW you are passing them.
No regrets.

I recently parked my car in town, and a group of people on the sidewalk stopped me to ask how I made the car sound so incredible. When I told them what I had done, they called it a "baseball card in the spokes" trick! Kind of strange that we'd do something so crude to our expensive Porsches, but you really can't argue with the sound. It's remarkable! A few months later, I still can't get enough of it.

jwully, it was Paul's Engineering in Blue Ash. It's a small place that does a lot of Mustang work and special jobs. The welding was top-notch. I got the 2" bypass.

I did the "Gundo" hack last year with 2" pipe. I absolutely love it but my wife thinks it is a touch too loud.
Does anyone know what I might do with another set to get it a notch less loud (would like it more like the "Fister" mod of my former 996)?
