Porsche Repair Specialist in MD/NOVA area
The check engine light came up as I was driving home last night. I was hoping it would just go away this morning, but no luck. I also tried tighten the gasoline cap with no avail.
My 2006 C2S is out of factory warranty and I am hesitant to take the car back to stealer for repair. Last time I was charged $450 for new battery and it wasn't even a Porsche branded battery, but an Interstate battery.
Do you guys have any recommendation for Porsche mechanic around MD, NOVA area?
Thanks!
Kirk

"tons". TPC in jessup (my preferred, they are awesome), intersport in tysons, atspeed in hanover, IMA in chantilly. those are the few i know.
be advised that you're not necessarily going to save any $ - good porsche indy shops are on par, if not higher than, dealer labor rates, BUT they: are damn good at what they do, will take better care of your car, will spend more time with you, and in my epxerience, will be more knowledgeable about any specific problem. granted, the shops i mention above are more race/performance oriented but they are more than qualified to do any service to your car.
where are you? i'm in germantown - 06 (seal) grey C2S also...

cool. nice to see another grey2S around the area. if you work in tysons, intersport is right around the corner. talk to charlie murphy. he's got a good rep in the p-car community but he's extremely busy. (altho it should be noted his specialty seems to be older models. in any case, i'm sure he can fix any issue you have.)
