sunroof delete

It's obviously all individual preference as we can see by the comments in this thread. Having said that, the sunroof delete seems like the norm in the UK. London during the summer is quite nice and they have their share of sunny days, but I think the European approach/culture towards automobiles and motorsports is just different. I also see a lot of model designation deleted porsches here or just a plain '911'. I'm beginning to appreciate that look to be honest.

I've got lightweight brittle PCCBs, but then threw on a set of 'heavier' RE-11s, but I did remove my rear seats. Next on the remove list are the good for nothing bose subwoofers. My car came with the sunroof - otherwise I would probably go with the delete option if I bought new.

My sunroof was opened during delivery, I think; never since. The only good thing about it is that it does not leak. Not only should there be a "delete" option, we ought to get a $200 credit.

Oh, man, the 911 sunroof is one of the best. Very calm cabin over 70 mph. Did you know it opens almost all the way, but to a point that is optimal for cabin wind noise?
Never want a cab, but want to enjoy the Spring and Fall weather. Perfect compromise. The 911 is also amazing because it has tons of headroom even with the sunroof. I was practically hitting my head in my M3 with the sunroof - but I suppose some would argue that at least it had a delete option.

It is nice to have the PCCB, however they would get pretty pricey to replace after a few seaons (or less) on the track. I installed the 2 piece Giro Disc rotors on mine, lighter the the OEM steels and they last a lot longer as they are slotted and not drilled (no spider cracking).
Btw, I didn't let PCCBs stop me however - I would go to slotted steel as an upgrade so to speak and put the ceramics aside for the time being.
