It is best to get to C&C by about 6:45 to be safe. As you found out, by 8am, many people are leaving. Also, that was the first Saturday of the month, and the local chapter of the Porsche club has its monthly breakfast meeting at 8:30 in Santa Ana.

Thanks for the info! I'll head over there this Saturday a bit earlier. Here are a few more photos. Apologies for the quality as I used my phone.

Yes, those Carrera Sports should have 305 tires on them due to their 11.5" rim width. They are the best factory wheels IMO.
C&C is at the Alton exit off I-5, on the west side of the freeway. It is located in the parking lot between the Taco Bell building (used to be Ford) and the Mazda building.

I am considering getting HRE P40s. Anyone have any experience with 20 inch wheels on their 911? If so, how does it effect the handling and ride quality?

I stayed with 19's on my P40's. I heard to many negative attributes about going to 20's. Very, very happy with my purchase. Talk with Dan over at Vivid Racing (a board sponsor) and he can take good care of you. From the time I placed my order with Dan to having the wheels on my car took 5 business days.

I'm sure others can chime in, but off the top of my head:
Heavier wheel (which can affect acceleration, handling, etc.).
Lower side profile so higher probability for wheel damage.
Stiffer ride (I think this was brought up, not sure).
Some just thought the look was to big for the car (but this would be personal opinion of course).
If I can find some of those threads, I'll try to link them here.

Just type in "wheels" in the search function (Title Only) in the 997 section and you'll find more threads on the subject. Been discussed pretty heavily (no pun intended).

20s
I'm running 20s and the ride is fine. The wheels are now flusher with the edge of the car. Similar to what you'd get with offsets.
I think ride quality has more to do with how many miles on your tires. Roads here in socal are pretty good.
