Hard top vs. soft

Had one of those days where I saw a few nice 997 hardtops and wished I hadn't gone with the convert.

Then the sun comes out, top goes down and things are better.

I have a love hate relationship with my carrera in this way.

Me too - and it was 55 in GA today. Sun roof was good though. Doubt I would have had the top down on a cab though.

Tops down on my car if the temp is above 50 and the sun is out. Have a hard top I put on for the dead of winter but it comes off as soon as the weather starts to warm up her, usually mid to late March. Then always down unless it starts to rain.

I had always liked coupe 911 until I saw a silver 911 cab with grey top and natural brown interior.

I felt the same way with the only cab I had, 03' m3, but mostly regret that I did not get the coupe. I have concluded that for me I wil not get a cab for any sports car, but would really enjoy it, in more of a GT car (SL550,E550, bently GT and etc.) The mags say that the E550 can do 60 in 4.6 sec. Me thinks it looks great and has the luxury and comfort....I just need an extra 70k burning a whole in my pocket. Then I would get bored with it in 6 to 8 months.
