Rear latch hooks - Ferrari has them....

Time for Porsche to catch up. They spend the time and effort in collaborating with Britax to have porsche car seats made to fit in the back of the 911, but they don't offer the little latch hooks in the rear (which make installation 1000% easier, sturdier, and probably safer). I can't imagine there's a cost or engineering deterrent here...?

This is the back of a new California (complete with latch hooks/anchors - enlarge the photo):

Yes Capital LATCH (or ISOFIX) would be a good assumption. I can only think that since the seats are easily removable or deleted that Porsche did not want to engineer in sturdy connectors which are not so easy to delete.

One of the great things about the 911, for me, was the ability to haul the kids around as needed. So, I would agree, adding ISOFIX connectors would be awesome.

I'm not sure how Porsche got away without putting LATCH in the back seats. I thought it was a NHTSA requirement for several years now. At least they have the top tether (something my salesman didn't know about). That makes the seat a bit more stable.
I'll have to show my wife that the California has LATCH. Perhaps an excuse to upgrade?

No need to delete the LATCH anchors. Just like the top tether hook, the seat anchors could be concealed behind the interior carpeting. The Porsche seats (I have 2 of them) have LATCH connectors that extend out to catch the anchor, so the anchors need not protrude out. In GTS/GT cars they would simply remain under the carpet. My dealer confirmed you can install rear seats and seat belts in the GTs because all the attachments are there already they're just covered up.
