BMC Air filter.

BMC Air filter.
Quick question; I hear that K&N filters are not recommended for our 997's, and that we should either stick with the OEM ones, or go fully new air intake system. If an upgraded air filters are a must, by all means, go w/ BMC filters. This was recommended by some of the P. experts in the country.
Are the BMC resuable/ cleanable like the K&N? or do they have a regular replacements cycle like the OEM???
I recently bought on for $60 brand new, they typically go for a $150 each. The deal was too good to pass up. The OEM are already like $50 at the stealership. Pls advice.

they are re-usable.
just gotta be careful with not over-oiling it.
or u can just buy a replacement if its only $60 !
BTW, make sure to leave ur new filter on top of a newpaper to get rid of the excess oil before installing it.

Maxzboy: We've had customers come to our facility with C.E.L.'s resulting from K&N Intakes/filters. Only one had to replace the MAF as he had the issue for some time. A spray of CRC Mass Air Flow cleaner and a new filter fixed the problems for the latter customers. We stock BMC F1 Filters for all Porsche models, and new model Ferrari/Lamborghini/Mercedes Benz vehicles.
