just do it. Sounds great. Not to loud and some power gained. I did it and would do it again in a heart beat.

stock muffler, after market cats?
The origional header/cat is not bad. Why spend money on that?
Straight pipe the crossover muffler, add free flow mufflers, like AGENCY POWER, for about $1500 and get the optimum exhaust.

Smile

I have the Fabspeed Sport 200 cell CAT, and will try record a video when I get a chance tomorrow or Monday.

I also have a used Fabspeed Header and new Fabspeed Muf. coming. They would probably get put on on about 4 weeks.

I'm curious about this too. I love the OEM sound but would like just a little bit *more*. I haven't done any exhaust mod yet because I'm afraid of getting nasty drone or too much of the ghetto tuner fart-can sound.

BTW there's a huge difference between the cat setup for 997.1 and .2 ; I have a .1

no standard mic can record properly low frequncy growl diffs between those exhausts. stock mufflers and 200 cell cats sound OK, it is definitely louder than stock but it does not have this 'nascar' type growl and kidney massage vibration as with sport mufflers.

i would say - stock mufflers and sport cats is the only sane option, but if you want extra loudness - it is not it.

real life diif is - with complete fabspeed my wife was telling me she could hear me 4 blocks away from our house - and I was not going on nearly open throttle. with x-pipe and stock muflers she only hears me when I approach our garage.

I like the stock sound but would like it a bit louder though. I don't like the high pitched Tubi and I'm not really after 'nascar' type growl or some expensive vibrator on wheels. My other choice is the Cargraphic loud with stock cats.

complete fabspeed (x-pipe and maxflo) are not loudest of systems out there but after driving to foxwoods for 2 hours i have got a strong headache. it is loud no doubt. it can be louder with a bypass

essentially you have 2 options - to swap mufflers to 'sport' keeping stock cats or keep stock mufflers installing sport cats. I like second option best, but I think tubi mufflers on stock cats will be louder.

i would recommend to check around your parts for enthusiasts with both solutions and decide for yourself. again, any videos do not represent actual loudness correctly, you have to be near the car to assess how loud it gets and if it is comfortable for you.

i reccomend the sport cats along with teh "gundo" hack. I initially hacked my oem mufflers and loved the outcome. great sound just wished it was louder. once i added the sport cats the exhaust came alive. love the sound. loud when you really step on it yet civilized if you drive normally. get lots of compliments on the sound with this setup

How much louder did things get when you went from Gundo to sport cats? I have Gundos now, and wouldn't want to go too much louder, but maybe a little
