Saw a 997.2 without Bose, but that has the iPod and sat radio options. Is there a way to upgrade the sound without replacing the PCM unit?

Shopping for pre-owned is driving me crazy. Why can't they all be somewhat similar???

This is the first I've seen without Bose, but neither the option codes or the door panels reflect its inclusion.

Most on here say the bose is not that great.

just may hurt on resale when you sell it with a after market radio.

on resale people really seem to want stock cars.

That's why I was asking if there is some sort of "add on."

I'm currious about this too. My 997.2S came without Bose and Nav which suited me. It looks like I may lose $2000 at trade time.

maybe get the factory unit out of a wrecking yard from a salvaged unit.
guess it would be about 50% of retail what they would charge.

you can use the head unit and break out of the fiber optics and create a amp and speaker system.. there are units that take the optic output and allow it to go to rca preouts, so you can make up a normal system

If you didn't pay for it when you bought it you won't lose anything when you trade or sell

Poor choice of words on my part. Should have said the car will be worth $2000 less than one with Nav. No loss on my part since I paid less to begin with.

Step 1. Turn Large **** on PCM all the way to the left
Step 2. Roll down windows
Step 3. Depress accelerator firmly into the floor.
