DRLs not showing in left stalk computer
Just picked up a US spec '09 Carrera. The DRLs do not show up in the OC readout activated by the left stalk. They do not turn on when the engine is running. The car does not have SC, so it is not in the PCM either.
Am I missing something obvious, or do I need to have them activated by the dealer?
I did read the manual (that's just how I am).

I think you're missing something. I don't have SC in my 09 911S, and I'm certain I can turn my DRL's on and off. I'll look again shortly and report if you've not figured it out in the meantime. Should be in the left stalk menu.

I just opened the hood and see that the engine has a label saying "Made in China." I'm screwed.

If you opened the hood and saw the engine there, you're SOL! The engine in mine is at the back, not front.

Drl is under the driver settings in the PCM if you have the sports crono.
Edit: saw earlier thread dealer will do it. Most do it free. You cam also ask them to set up auto lock.
