I have CCW's 18x9 and 18x12 on a 997S that is PASM lowered (10mm) that could easily go to 20mm lowered or more without rubbing. The 18's offer you so much more in tire selection and the 9 and 12 inch widths allow for many tires size options. The "typical" size for these wheels tend to be 245/35/18 and 315/30/28 or 245/40/18 and 295/30/18 with Hoosiers (if you keep the Porsche spec of larger in rear and smaller diameter in front) or 245/40/18 and 305/35/18 with R888 or RA1's (which I run). 20" wheels will just cost you and you will never get any benefit they might offer (unless you are a pro..................).

No problem at all, I have used 15 mm in the rear and 7 mm in the front with OEM 19" wheels, and lowered to ROW height without any issues at all. Just make sure you have the proper bolts (longer)
