Bokchoys is infamous around these parts
I don't mind the plate being offset to the side. I just hope I never have to use one of these things. I've gone without a front plate for years on BMW... but I hear some cities are more stringent on front plates than others in California.

Let tell the governor to eliminate front plates for two reasons:
1. Be Green - 50% less metal
2. Prison Labor cost - another 50% savings

In OH you need front plate as well. I didn't like the offset look and no way was I going to drill into the front of the bumper. I bought the Skene mount that has worked out beautifully. You only drill 2 small holes underneath, they will never be seen.

Trying to avoid making holes on the front bumper i searched online and found an excellent solution that uses the tow hook hole in order to mount a license plate holder. I bought it from moweraxle.com

I won't say much. Service and shipping was excellent and the part itself well thought and designed.

Pictures will tell the story better than words...

Take the plug out,...don't leave the little round hole cover hangin. Take it out and put in the glove compartment, real easy.

You'd think someone would make a bracket which attaches in the center, but doesn't require drilling holes visibly in the front bumper. Mazda RX-7s had brackets which attached underneath the overhang. Does Porsche need to contact Japan to figure this out??

I was going to make one exactly how you described it. Furtunately, with 1/8 trimming of the plate coupled with the 3rd radiator install, I was able to install my plate in the center of the bumper AND with the 2 very small holes way underneath the bumper. No need for a bracket. Though my plate is actually installed in the pic below, do you see my license plate now.....

I wish the US had a National plate system, and would prefer the old British way as an option. Number stays with the car.
