Satellite Radio Add-On for PCM 3.0 (Nav-TV)
Hi All,
Sorry its been busy and part of it may be me loving my new Satellite Radio add-on from Nav-TV (Sirius based). I bought my car in December of 2010 off the lot (Targa4S) and was very hopeful that Nav-TV would come out with a satellite radio add-on for PCM 3.0; they already had it for PCM 2.0, no big deal . After many emails back and forth, Tony from Nav-TV said they finally cracked the secret codes and were testing it before sending me anything. About a month ago I received the package (around $900 shipped) for the modification. I took it to Kromer radio in Toronto for professional installation ($200) and I could not be happier. Coming from my wife's BMW that has Sirius Satellite I just could not go back to regular radio.
Long story short its a great mod and I am very happy with it. Hope you enjoy my blackberry made video demo (below). Sorry about the constant droning .. its my first.

Cool - but yikes on the price.
What sort of BMW? I had an e60 550i with Sirius and it was deplorable - all swirly sounding from the data compression - I could never bear to listen to it and, ironically, my "free promo" subscription never expired the entire time I had the car. PCM3.0/XM seems much better, although the Logic 7 in the BMW was otherwise better than the Bose.

Agreed. My buddy had the PCM 2.0 and he couldn't stand it. PCM is such an improvement; I think you can actually upgrade but its pricey

I have a 2008 911 turbo cab and I would like satellite radio using the PCM, i.e. totally integrated. Any suggestions or should I just take it to the dealer? Thanks folks.

Was this device discontinued by Nav-TV? I can't find it on their website, only for PCM 2, -2008 cars.
