Don't be fooled by the cars body...the body we are seeing in spy pics like this is a moot point on what the car will look like.

They are testing things like suspension, powertrain, air conditioning and so forth.

 

OK! OK! I confess... it was me...I bought some stickers and black cardboard...slapped it on the pcar to mess with everyone.

 

my passenger just saw one today in milan going the opposite direction as us on autostrada........would have followed it if it were possible

 

LOL i love the sticker side vents.. it got me the first time I saw it.

2012's are already starting to show up on dealer inventory listings (even non-special editions), so 2013 would make sense.

I think the brake lights have stickers on them, so the lights near the exhaust may be auxilary brake lights for testing.

A few weeks ago, I saw one of the black test mules being loaded onto a flatbed on the 405 at sunset blvd. Seems the "test driver" had put it into the wall. Oops.

Traffic was backed up for miles too. Bastard.
