IPD Plenum - thoughts?

No need to reflash, but you should disconnect the battery for a few minutes whenever you make a mod like this. This will reset the ECU and let it re-learn your new parts quicker.

Agree, no need to reflash. What are your impressions of it?

Last Winter, while in Fremont, one of the guys at one of our sponsors (SharkWerks) told us that they did not offer this for the 997.2 because they could not document any significant change. It's not like a vendor to turn down easy money.

Of course, they could have been turned down as a distributor. Who is to say that they wanted the product at 75% of MSRP and IPD told them to 'pound sand'. I imagine the product would suck (at least in their showroom) from that date on.......

I can tell you that the engineers at Porsche are smart. To do an aerodynamic plenum is easy for them and that will not cost them so much to produce in mass production. Could be more or less the same cost for them. If it really necessary, they surely had done it

Most power gains are bogus, I fear, with the exception of AWE/HJS 200 cell sport cats and forced induction. With an SC kit going for under $7k, I see no reason to spend a cent on anything else first.

Cattman's on the money,
I'll add - what looks good doesn't always flow good, work good or reflect real world conditions. Flow bench testing is only an additional part of the equation as well.
Watch for smoke & mirrors.......
