IPD Plenum - thoughts?

Has anyone installed the IPD Plenum on a Gen 2 997 S?
I've read about 15 hp at the wheels?!?!?
Can anyone confirm this? If this were true - it would seem this is a great mod and good bang for your buck!?!?

Look forward to hearing feedback!

Lots of discussion on this topic for Gen 1. Rather than beat it again to death for Gen 2, I believe they offer a money back gaurantee. Try it and see and if you don't like it return it for full refund.

ipd plenum

on a DFI its a complete waste of time and will cause more problems than its worth.

Please elaborate - did you have a bad experience? I've been scoping out the extensive discussions about them and all the reviews seem to be good???

I have not heard anything like this. Its been a topic of discussion even on the Gen 2 car its a awesome mod. I had in on my 996 and LOVED it definitely made power and im actually getting one for my Gen 2 should be here soon. I will do a review as soon as I get it installed. But every1 who has it on the Gen 2 car feels like I did with my 996.

Ipd

I had a long discussion with champion Motorsport who said it was a good idea on a gen1 but the computer and airflow control of a dfi does not really benefit from an ipd plenum. Plus they had a lot of problems with CELs, etc.

Honestly 10-15 hp will be negligible. Ifmyou want to mod the horsepower of an engine with software, plenums, intakes, etc get a turbo.

You will not get 15 HP at the wheel from a plenum.

go hard my friend.
You'll enjoy it, don't expect massive gains, close to 10 bhp mid to high range.
Get it remapped and you'll notice a big difference.

If you combine an IPD plenum with a GIAC re-flash what are we talking, about 30 hp gain on a 997.1 ?

I have found that with each of my mods, which were done at least 4 months apart, that the seat of your pants feel is not really related to HP gains. I can say that the CAI and IPD plenum were the mods which I felt the most even though they dont claim as much gains as an ecu flash. Granted they were done after the exhaust and ecu flash, but regardless I would do it all over again. My car feels much faster then a stock 997.2S and that has been said by others who have driven it.

you wont get results by adding a plenum alone. If you do a improved air intake system, a plenum and a improved exhaust,
More air in- More air out,
And do a ECU software upgrade, Youll get a big overall improvement
This will be the same for almost any engine.
