new pcar owner

Hey all,

I recently purchased a 08 C2S. I've never driven anything like this car, so I'm still getting used to it. I'm looking forward to becoming more active in the local and online pcar community.
It was sort of an impulse buy. I took the Friday after my birthday off. I woke up late and hungover and started my usual routine of checking my email, stocks, and the local used Porsche market. I found a new posting of what I wanted for roughly the price I wanted it and bought it. I plan on taking it to the track some, but I'm mostly interested in exploring the Texas hill country.

Nice! That's a heck of an "impulse buy." First 911?

Looks great. If you don't mind me asking, what kind of mileage? Options? Plans for mods?

Your first mod should be clear repeaters. Get rid of those pumpkins! Seriously, that car looks great.

Thanks everyone!
This is my first sports car in general. I had Nissan Maxima before, the red one in the back of the picture. Before that it was an Accord and Corolla.

I got it for 57k before TTL.
08 C2S Manual
34k miles
Sports Chrono
Nav
Power seats w/ memory
Bose

The car came with K40 Calibre, and I asked for new tires. The K40 is missing the remote so if anyone has one they want to sell, I'm interested. I don't think I got the car for a deal or anything. It was probably slightly overpriced if anything.

I am not interested in performance mods... yet. The side of the driver side leather is worn out from the previous owner sliding in the car. I really want to get that fixed, tinting, and a new clear bra. A couple of cosmetic mods I've seen and like are the clear side lights, a sliver hood emblem, the Techart Spoiler 1, and for some reason I really like illuminating door sills. A friend's brother unsolicitedly offered me a set of black rims. I've never been a black-rims kind of guy, but I graciously accepted. I'll see how serious he was next weekend.

Congratulations, very nice car. Dont worry about the price. Like one guy said: Even if cheap whisky goes for $60 a bottle, it is still a bargain.
Enjoy!

Congrats and enjoy. I remember the day I picked up my C2S at the port, I almost shed a tear she was (and is) so beautiful.

I completely agree with that quote. I mentally bought the car right after I test drove it and inspected it on a lift. But going back and forth with the sales guy for 45 mins was well worth it.
