997.2 C2 BMC air filters

Is anyone using the above mentioned filters?

I want to know if in terms of sound effects the car will change or not...

I am certain that they flow a bit better than the stock units, and BMC has good quality filters for years now and i don't expect to gain 15 bhp from this mod...

I know Champion Motorsports is selling them as well as the BMC website too...

Any experience?

I use them...no sound or power difference I can hear or feel. I only have them because of a deal I got a few years ago and I like to keep my filters clean. I got a new 997.2S I would not rush out and buy them and they are not a must have but if the deal and chance happened again and I had extra cash I'd get them.

that's good to know...

Actually by searching online i found that the best deal is directly from the factory...

I might pull the trigger when i get the SW bypass too...

actually curious on this too, I had a BMC in my 997.1 and I thought it made a huge difference as far as the car breathing. My 997.2 doesnt seem to have the breathing issue as my .1 but still was wondering if the BMC would help out the .2 also. Let us know what you find

Be careful to not over-oil them after cleaning

Got the bmc filter installed a few days back. Honestly I don't notice much of anything, maybe a little more free flow of air but that could be psychological. Anyway, will see if anything changes in the future.

i would give it a few days of driving to see if the car will adjust to the increased airflow...

Since my OEM filters are brand new i might wait a bit before i change them...

Do you think the dealer would give me trouble in terms of warranty if i change the air filters?

BMC are basically the Italian copy of the K&N. unfortunately they are the only ones that make a freeflow filter for a 997.2. And cost is higher than a K&N would be. But I have had K&N on every car Ive owned sinct the mid 80s and it is the first thing I did to the 997.2. Never any adverse effects on any car.
RSS has them for about $225.

20k miles on my BMC filters...no issues but you will not notice any difference in sound or performance.
