Need advise: OEM GT3 Bumper and third Radiator on 997.1
I have a 2008 C4S and planning to purchase an OEM GT3 Bumper (997.505.961.91) and the third radiator (997.106.037.02) along with all the necessary retaining frames, rubber mounting, nuts and bolt, and hoses according to the 997-1 PET diagram illustration 105-17.
My question is, if I purchase the GT3 Bumper, what Center Air Duct would I need to purchase?
Air Duct part number for the third radiator (Carrera/Carrera S) is 997.575.141.00.
Air Duct part number for the third radiator (GT3) is 997.575.141.90.
Are they the same size? There is definitely a price difference between the two.
Thank you for the assistance.

If you are purchasing an OEM GT3 bumper cover I don't believe there is anything you need to buy. If you are buying the Aerokit bumper cover you need to purchase the GT3 retaining frame (which I believe comes with the GT3 bumper cover).

Thanks for the info... On you Sig, I see you have the Factory Aerokit. Do you have the GT3 radiator and is mounted at a slant?
I may end up just getting the factory Aerokit as yours. These aftermarket mods get too expensive.

Darren,
The third radiator is the same radiator as you would find in the tip cars. It is mounted just like it would be in those cars. All the hardware is there to hook up to. There is no difference in the GT3 and Aerokit bumpers other than the upper vent grille and that the Aerokit has plastic cover closing up where the air would enter for the otherwise third radiator. I have the third radiator and opening same as the GT3 does.
Hope this helps.

IF you get the center radiator kit from suncoast it should have the center duct surround and anything else you would need.

Without the GT3 top vent, I've read somewhere on the forum that you would need to cut out exhaust vents on the bottom of the bumper therefore, should be a cut out markings. Is that right?

Exactly, the surrounding plastics are different on a Carrera with 3rd rad vs the GT3. It 's not as simple as just to cut an Aero kit bumper for the "smiley" top vent. The radiator is different as well if I'm not mistaken.
As said, Carrera's with 3rd rad have (4) vents cut on the bottom of the bumper, the GT3's does not. The center rad on GT3's is tilted forward at the top and the plastic behind is diffferent, letting air pass upwards through the smiley went and over tho hood instead of downwards and under the car. I've been told this is the main aerodynamical advantage of the GT3. More so that the shape of the bumper itself.
I have collected some pictures showing the difference. Just need to find them...

Does anyone have the required part numbers to perform this modification?
Thanks,

Does anyone have more information on the gt3 front bumper install.. having air vent from the bottom with the areo kit is not good for downforce or even aero.
i want to install the gt3 bumper and have it be funtional.
i did find this - the connections for the hose appear to be different versus the regular 997 3rd rad kit.
