Need advice in buying/leasing a brand new 997
#31
first 3 years other then 3 or 4 oil changes...(Some dealers offer first 3 free)
and figure new tires every 10-15k miles..breaks maybe depends on how you drive.
but thats it .
just make sure lease rate is not over .0022..assuming your wife has stellar credit.

Well, even if money is there, I dont want to spend $ unnecessarily, ... I know its hard to avoid in many cases, but I always try to give right price... the products I sell, I do not take over profit (but just enough to save for my next dream car.. lambo... just kidding )
Regarding lease rate, I thought Porsche USA provide fixed lease rate to all applicants which is something you can not change...

reading thru the thread tilted "Question regarding Lease Trader", seems like transferring lease to another person is a bit complicated. in my case, I will not transfer the lease, I will lease for 3 years and pay everything upfront (ie 3 years lease) if it is allowed. If for any reason i need to terminate the lease before end of 3 years, then i will perhaps lose the upfront payments in case i can not sell/transfer the lease to the next owner. Thats the risk I have to take to fulfill my dream to drive a Carrera!
its such a curse to have such dream...

Sorry to bother with stupid questions again But I would appreciate any feedback on this Q.
Looking at the dealers inventory, they are advertising brand new 911 with year 2011 and 2012. I wonder why they are advertising 2012 year 911 model. My understanding is that the next 911 model (991 it is?) is due in 2012 year and not out in the market yet.
This year 2011 or 2012 designation (in dealers' advertisement) has to do something with compliance year, build date/year?
Another Q: This is already May, If I intend to buy in July, Can I ask for any discount on MSRP for 2011 year 911?

Here, look at NYCEnglish's thread - you can see an example of what kind of discounts can be had here

Heck yeah you can ask for a discount! The question is rather how much the dealer will move. I am certain you can get the car for less than MSRP. The thing is, if you want to maximize your discount, go for the cars that the dealer has on the lot - they want to move their inventory. If you custom order, well, that's harder to work something with. If you can find a 2010 leftover somewhere that you like, you can really haggle with that!
no i wont do custom order for this buy, as long as it is a new 997.2 i dont mind if it is a 2009/10/11 model and also I would consider a used CPO very low mileage 997.2. Still I am not talking to dealers but researching before i face them.
Thanks for the link. Yes i have seen NYCEnglish's thread that tells us 10% discount on 2011 year . Great! I will ask at least same discount when talking with the dealer.
