Update: My lights are in customs. I might get them by the end of the week (I hope).

Update: They're out of customs now and being forwarded to UPS who I believe now handles are the USA deliveries for DHL. I'm hoping they show up tomorrow.

 

My lights just came to my office. Do I leave work now to install them??? Decisions.... Hell, of course I do! For those still waiting, my lights first entry on DHL tracking was 7.6.11 (sent paypal on 7.4.2011), the tracking currently says, the shipment is being prepared for delivery. Obviously their tracking updates are lagging. Anyways, I'm out of here. Will post pics later.

 

Ordered mine 6/22 from Frank/Orange, last DHL tracking update was 6/27 showing shipment is being transported to destination country. As Tom Petty once said, 'the waiting is the hardest part'!

 

If the last DHL entry was on 6/27 (over 2 weeks ago) I'd say something is 'terribly wrong'. DHL air ships so it should take less than a week (most cases just a few days) to arrive in any US destination city. Have you contacted DHL and spoke to a 'live' representative/

 

I haven't contacted DHL yet but I did send a note to Frank yesterday. No reply yet. Given the experience some have had with parts sitting in customs this is probably where my lights are, but, you're right, contacting DHL directly seems to be the next step.

 

I contacted DHL when my lights were taking their sweet time getting here. They emailed me back and said the lights were likely clearing customs and would be delivered via USPS. Package arrived two days later. They were shipped 6/25 received 7/7. I had contacted DHL on 7/5 and they said that if I had not received them by the end of week 7/8 that I should contact shipper. Hope you get your lights soon.

 

Got mine in last night 7/14/11 ... they were sent from Frank on 7/6/11.
Like everyone has been saying... don't wait on this one! they look oem and
are such a nice improvement and update to the rear. I was thinking of doing
the rear 997.2 bumper/tail lights update because I already updated the front....
but with these dectane lights I think I just saved myself $2k!
Only removed center screw and NO additional resistors needed.
My car build date is 6/06. 5 minutes each side for installation..









Picture does not do justice for how nice and bright the LED's are...

 

pics ? did u change just the lights or the whole bumper? thxgot it in mail today.

Can't wait to go home and put it on !

cool ! the new bumper looks great !!

so u put on the new 997.2 sport design front bumper and the sides and retro-fitted the LEDs, right ?

must have costed u an arm and a leg.. at least the arm. but looks awesome !!

BTW, i noticed u have the sport carrera rims.. one of the best looking OEM rims, IMO, but heavy.

if u switch them out to lighter wheels, u'll see drastic improvement in acceleration, handling, and braking.. the holy trinity of faster track times.

 

Installed mine yesterday and they really make a difference to the car. Hopefully Depo will come out with the front so we don't have to change out the bumper.
