997.1 LED Tail Lights - Dectane
Anyone heard of the quality of these lights in the link below? I like the layout of LED on those and their color options:

Weird that it does this automatically... but a British flat in the top right corner does the trick.

Seems like this is their thing. LED lights that is...

Heres a link fr the turbo section where it's being discussed. I am seriously considering them, def have an OE look. Seems there are good reviews fr 911uk.com. Apparently Dectane was not shipping to the US and I am unsure whether it's been cleared up yet.

Reading what the Turbo guys are saying it seems it is just a matter of time before we can finally get a good set here for less than an eye gauging price. Those lights look really nice from posted pics... really nice.

I'd very much like to see the pics. Very interesting stuff...
I'd like to get LEDs, but I also want a GT3 bumper. Given that these aftermarket LED options are about the same price as genuine Porsche .2 versions, it seems like I should save up and get a .2 GT3 bumper and the factory LEDs.

The imported price is steep. It may be worthwhile buying them during a European trip:
449 Euros - 19% VAT = 363 Euros which translates to $520.
The US importer is certainly taking a comfortable margin, taking into account that he probably does not get them at retail prices. For $500, I may bring back a set next summer.

There seems to be a flood of aftermarket 997 LED lights on ebay, not sure what manufacturer they are from or the quality. But I remember seeing discussion about DEPO lights having good quality, and they are down to $560 now: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/05-08...mZ260778704470
The same company makes LED lights for Japanese cars, but even with the same quality they costs a lot less than 997's. This is either due to them being new product, or just "hey let's rip off the rich Porsche owners" mentality. I guess it's only matter of time when prices come back down to earth.

Interesting... anyone installed these here yet? I agree on the price philosophy used on P-car owners. Around $1K for aftermarket lights is just ridiculous. It’s not that I can’t afford it, it’s that I can’t rationally justify it – which to me is even worse.
