Definitely not the marketing hype for us either. We drove them all. When my wife was in the boxster, she said, "I think I'm a boxster girl.". But when we drove the 911. She changed her mind, and with exclamation marks! And truly, she knew nothing of price, history, performance, myths, etc. She just thought it Was prettier, rode better and felt "more solid".

So, not everyone makes the choice just based upon perceived status or mindlessly buying the hype. I was well prepared to get a well equipped boxsterS until that drive as well...

Great looking car! I have been enjoying mine for two months. I swear I will post photos soon, but they have to be taken first. I shoot professionally and snap shots of my car just won't do. Not that I don't love looking at all the snapshots of 911's here, but when its what you do you want to do it right.

I do have one mod suggestion that I liked when I began surfing this plethora of information forum and that is the clear side markers. Super easy to install and IMHO looks so much better than OEM amber markers.
