Once you go black you will never come back.
A black Porsche washed & waxed is second to none. Good luck & enjoy.

A clear bra covering the entire front end is highly recommended. It is the color black's best friend.

2012 Black Edition Pics - "The Batmobile"

Finally figured out how to transfer and shrink the size of the images to post to site.

10 days into it and I truly love this vehicle. Best investment (to the extent that a car can be considered as an investment) that I have made in a long time.

Should get vanity tags in a few weeks.Name: 2011-06-04_09.25.34 - 2.jpg

Congrats on a car - as of all aftermarket things clear bra is actually a great add-on and you did right by getting it. it will save a lot of frustration from chipped of paint in front. it is also good if you did whole hood, not just a half of it.

Thank you. I did decide to get the whole thing done. I saw the half hood treatment potentially looking "cloudy" over time.

NICE! Beautiful car! I have a black on black too and despite the high maintenance, I still think it is one of the best exterior colors.

Just a side question, was it easy to put on the "911" tags in the back?

Congrats . . . .

Now you need to load up w/ a bunch of detailing stuff to keep that black finish sparkling. Black is hobby; not a color.

I have to assume so on the "911". It is one of the standard features on the Black Edition. All Black Editions are labeled with "911" rather than "Carrera X".

I do remember seeing on the "build your own" site that one of the options was to use the "911" designation.

I didn't know that. I thought it was a DIY since I have seen many different variations of designations in the back so I though you did this. I really like how this particular "911" set off against the black. Nice!

The investment is in "quality of life." Don't discount it.

Congrats Sprtan!
I am patiently waiting for my 2012 Black Edition Coupe, just found out it arrived at the San Diego port! This is my first Porsche (always been my dream car but got sidetracked by an Alfa Romeo & BMW in my earlier years) and can't wait to get behind the wheel. I will let you know what "my number" is when I get my baby! Your pics are beautiful and make me all the more antsy.
