Congrats on the car.
If you think P dust is bad, try owning a BMW.

Alright, another Atlas Grey!

I wash mine once a week (daily driver) and it's not bad at all showing dirt. It is a metallic after all and is much easier to live with than you would figure.

Lots of good advice above, but may I suggest a quick trip to griot's website? They have great product and washing materials.

Indeed. My old 3-series' wheels would be gnarly after a day or two. P car isn't nearly so bad.

"if you're a professional grave digger, then buy a golden shovel"

In other words, invest some $ in good tools and you will save time and money down the line.

A high psi power washer saves oodles of time on the rims.
Leaf blower cuts drying time in half and wont scratch your paint.
Air compressors can save a lot of time on cleaning dust in the interior.
My next purchase is a deionizing system - avoid water spots.

Cleaning products
Simple green: rims pre-powerwash.
Rejex: rims every 3rd or 4th wash.
Lexol: leather - twice month.
P21x carnuba wax

I love having PCCBs. No hassle wheel cleaning plus fat yellow calipers.

P21S wheel cleaner is great for wheel dust. Spray on, rinse off with hose spray and the wheels come up great. It works best if the wheels have not gotten wet since the previous cleaning.

I am amazed at how easily the black paint (actually, the clear coat) on my C2S picks up micro scratches from washing. My advice would be to use high quality micro fiber towels for drying and a separate wash bucket for the lower parts of the body.

I've read that Lexol should be used max a few times A YEAR.

I defer to the detailing experts, but IMO you might be overdoing it and possibly even compromising the leather (over lubrication).

Don't forget to clay your wheels once in a while if the power washer/brush cant get it as clean as you want them.

In other news... while I was down there scrubbing away at the wheels I noticed a chip on one of the red calipers. CRY!
