Painted Center Console
Question for any one who has this or has seen it. Although i think it looks great in the pictures ive seen, im worried it may be too glossy or cheap looking when i see it in person. Ideally I'd go with the carbon but i am buying used.

if you want carbon, you can get it retrofitted
I've seen the painted, and it doesn't look cheap; a bit glossy yes.
It gives it a nice sporty feel IMO, although I feel I'd get bored of it quick.

On a similar note I recently was looking at some pics of Beckham's Chaved out Turbo and was surprised to see despite having custom badges made he skipped on the painted or carbon center console. That shocked me.

Due to normal wear and tear in the console area (finger nails, seat belt buckles, etc.), I'd be afraid of scratches and chipping. I'd rather spend the same money on having it covered in leather, especially with a full leather interior.

Where could this be done? I would be interested in learning how to get the console covered in leather. It's a great idea.
Thanks

So, does anyone know if the factory carbon fiber console is actually made of carbon fiber or is it just covered in that 'carbon look' film? If I'm not mistaken the small bits are only filmed, not sure about the console, though.

I looked into getting the center console done in full leather, Porsche OEM $2,000.00+, Aftermarket guys $1,200.00+ and that was for Natural Carrera Red a hard color to get which most guys can't matchup except for exclusiveoptions.com. I may have mine painted by bumperplugs. Any feedback on their painted versions?

I have a bumperplugs center console (Atlas) and its' beautifully done and holds up well (not easy at all to scratch or chip), but I think if push came to shove I'd prefer to have a matching leatehr center console.

We are here for you guys...just email any special requests. We have painted consoles out over ten years looking new....it's just like any other part of the car. We use our slow layering process to get factory chemistry absolutely flawless, a 3-stage clear, and plenty of time to make it right.
Drop a brick on it, and sure, it can scratch. But under normal wear and tear, not so.
We also have carbon available. It is a high priced option, and it's layered carbon over the factory part, exactly what you'd get from Porsche if you ordered it...but it won't turn yellow or crack like the Porsche part can.

Hi Eric, what would you do if you had a Artic Silver/Carrera Red with the silver sport accents throughout the car. It has the full leather package, so I'm trying to stay away from all the leather, would you go with that silver sport accent or the Artic Silver? Trying to break the red up. What's the turn around time?
Thanks!
Thanks!
