PCA Concourse at Greystone Mansion, Beverly Hills
Just wanted to share some pics. Another awesome day this past Sunday on June 26th, 2011. My wife and I with a few friends attended PCA's Greystone Mansion concours in Beverly Hills. For the SoCal region #8 it is the best venue each year. I did not enter for the judging events, but just paid to park and display my Boxster and Carrera 4S, we got a great spot!
here are a few pics of my cars from last Sunday, but I have about 30 more pics of a lot of the other cars at the event from 356's to Carrera GT and years past on my hobby website at:

1998 Boxster 3.4 liter and 2006 C4S with GTS Face lift and side skirts

I have to say that I am always impressed with how friendly Porsche club owners can be.
I have met the occasional stand off-ish owner who does not talk much, but most porsche guys
really open up and enjoy talking about their cars and all the upgrades they have done to make
them special. Forums like 6speedonline are the perfect example of how great it is to talk
to other owners and share stories... PCA gatherings are a great place to put a face to
the avatar ;^)

OK... not a Concours, rather a Coffee and Cars meet.

LOL, there is a guy here in ATL who has a 2008 997S that he brings to the PCA Concours in a trailer- it has only 50 miles on it. He goes from Concours to Concours with an undriven current-model car, which to me, is silly, but hey, it's his money, not mine!
I have been winning a lot this year with my '87 Carrera 3.2, here are some pics. We won a People's Choice Award at the first Peachstate PCA, and a First in Class at the next one. Note that it's a daily driver with 134,000 miles on it...

Thanks. Folks are trying to convince me to bring it to the Porsche Parade (in Savannah, GA) this year for their Concours, but I am not so sure I want to do all the work necessary to be competitive at that level. Who knows, maybe I will...

Beautiful car! The clean engine is very impressive as well. Your car is one of the reasons I ONLY park and display I love driving my cars too much and really don't have the time to do what it takes to enter them into any concours judging events. I thought my 1998 Boxster with 125,000 miles was clean.. wow. Mad respect for owner's who put major miles on their p-cars and keep them this clean. I thought I was ****, wow!
The reason a lot of guys like me "park and display'' at concours events is because we like our cars to be close to the action and conversations rather then in another parking place a block away where we can't even see them. It also allows for nice photo ops with other great cars and to show them off a little bit...
I totally agree about the newer cars with 50 miles on them at concours events. How hard is it to keep them clean, they have not even had a chance to get dirty in the first place!
