Can a child safely sit in the front seat of a 997?
I've asked this question tangentially in another thread, but I now want to focus on the question, since I just got a 2012 911 C2S: is it safe for a 10-year-old child (~65 lbs) to ride in the front seat of the car?
My understanding is that the air bag deactivates if the passenger weight is below 120 lbs, and that it's legal for a child her age to ride in the front. But I'd like to know if anyone has a different understanding or opinion.
Thanks.

The passenger airbag does deactivate if there's a light person in the seat. I let my 11 and 9-yr olds ride in the front seat when I'm driving locally, but prefer to have them in the back if I'm doing any highway driving.
