Question Aftermarket Parking sensors

Been doing a little research and am considering getting this setup for just the rear bumper. Was wondering if anyone on forum had good/bad experiences or input.

Regards.

Don't waste the money. Get yourself the front and rear Laser Interceptor and you will get parking sensors (front and rear) and have the best laser Jammer on the market.

Hmmm..ok, you've definitely have my interest peaked now. Is there a specific manufacture/model I should consider?

Thx

On the road now so don't have links handy. Do a Google search for "Laser interceptor usa". It's the rev 8 of the product in either dual (2 sensors) or Quad (4 sensors).

Wow, I want to research this. The interceptors actually work? That would be wonderfully cool.

I really like the Jam to Gun results listed in this test previously posted by BlkonBlk911C4S: http://www.guysoflidar.com/july-2008...mmer-test.html.

Do you need a Radar Detector with these too?

I have the 2 sensor unit and it definitely works (I Am not associated with the company :-)). Talk to cliff - he is the US distributor and is on this board. I got mine through a group buy on this site. I use it with a radar detector since some LEO's in my area still use radar, but it is not necessary.

I will talk to Cliff and ask about the group discounts! How much did it save you? If you had it professionally installed, how did you pick the install company and what can I expect it to cost? Interceptors are illegal in Colorado, but as a parking aid they can be used.

Yes they do work. Make sure you get them tested. Houston has a great group that meets twice a year to test. I had them on my 996. I have taken them off and have not yet put them on my 997tt. Texas just passed a law that will make them illegal on 9/1/11. So I am waiting to see what happen.

I think I paid $750 for the 2 head unit. You will probably need at least one for the rear if you plan to use it for parking sensor as well. I had it installed locally by a stereo shop for another $125.

I'm in Dallas and also curious to see how this plays out... Though it will be a considered a "Class C" misdemionor (" Fix it Ticket") and I already run without a front plate...running down the road causing LEO's Laser gun to error would probaly draw attention and give him just enough reason to pull me over anyway...

But don't count me out yet..
;-)
