Dumb Q. How do you know when spoiler is engaged??

I understand the need to see it...
from the manual:
Engine compartment temperature under
122 °F/55 °C
Spoiler extends at 75 mph/120 km/h and retracts
at 37 mph/60 km/h.
Engine compartment temperature over
140 °F/60 °C
Spoiler extends at 50 mph/80 km/h and retracts
at 19 mph/30 km/h.
from the manual:
Engine compartment temperature under
122 °F/55 °C
Spoiler extends at 75 mph/120 km/h and retracts
at 37 mph/60 km/h.
Engine compartment temperature over
140 °F/60 °C
Spoiler extends at 50 mph/80 km/h and retracts
at 19 mph/30 km/h.

When i bought my car it had a problem with the spoiler and it would not go up sometimes. And trust me when you hit 70 and it does not go up you will know. There will be a loud bell and the info display will turn red with a warning that the spolier is not working. And it will do it again when you get down to 65. Over and over again if you are in traffic. It will drive you crazy.

Somehow I knew this might happen if I didn't take your earlier hint to read the manual. I hate it when that happens. Sure enough, it does extend and retract at lower speeds for high (greater than 140 degrees) engine compartment temp, as described in the manual (Page 63 in my case). Thanks for the clarification.
