09Carrera4s is infamous around these parts
Newbie

Just purchased my first Porsche and looking at getting some wheel spacers and need advice. I have an 09 997.2 4s with stock wheels. What size spacers are most common?

Welcome amd congratulations on the new purchase.

There are a number of threads on spacers that can help point you in the right direction.

Oh, and as others will tell you, you need to post up some pictures!

For stock wheels, I'd use 5-7mm front and 14-17mm at the rears. Remember to get longer bolts as well. All these combo would work.

These is a promo in the 997 vendor session now. Check it out. RSS and H&R offer good spacers and bolts packages.

Maybe a dumb question, but are spacers solely for looks? Any other purpose? Any pics that can be posted?

I have wide body wheels on my narrow body and I just bought some 7mm RSS spacers to add to the rear making my effective offset ET44 (23 less than stock, ET67 to ET51+7mm spacers).

So your rears stick out 23mm more than stock - pretty aggressive...and you'll pick up some gravel dings in the rear fender paint.
