The thing that strikes me about this discussion is that it is a great example of how we end up with excessive Govt regulation. If people would/could just be respectful of each other we would be much better off. The OP may be going the speed limit but he is just inciting his neighbors to petition the Govt for more restrictive laws. Should the neighbors be successful he will be mad at the Govt. He should be mad at himself for not being a considerate of his neighbors.

We need more cooperation and less Govt intervention. Both sides of this argument lead to a bad outcome.

Well, it's a great comeback line on the forum but I'm not sure it would be accepted as any sort of evidence by the court.

 

I would only be defending myself on a forum, because in reality I am not worried about having to go to court for anything like this.
