I haven't taken my C4S out in over a week and a half because of business travels, and just having the thought of taking it to the office tomorrow got me anxious and excited.

Seriously, cannot wait to take the drivers seat tomorrow! Anyone else ever get that feeling?

i drive a lexus during the week as a daily driver.. *yawn

so i can't wait for the weekend to take the Pcar out.

sometimes, i even drive around the hood on week nights for 15 mins just to get it out of my system.. waking up the neighbors with my cargraphics exhaust.

Wow, I never post haha.

I think this is true for every car nut. When I had my lowly Acura Integra, I drove randomly at night when I was bored. When I had my S2000, I'd miss driving it even after a few days. Now with my M3, it's the same way.

I imagine when I pick up my Porsche soon, it will be even more so. Currently, it's the novelty of the Yamaha R6 that's getting to me. I take random rides at night after work.

I drive my car almost every day, and I still get excited to drive it. They are amazing cars.

Certainly. The 911 is a magical and addictive car. It can lure you in sometimes without you're even being aware of how it does it.

My GTS is my DD, and I get up for it every time I drive...even if it's just the 2 mile trip to pick the kiddo up from school.

That's why I bought it: always excited to drive it...can't get that out of my system.

I just returned from a week-long business trip to Orange County CA. Not only did I miss my car, but that feeling was increased exponentially by the fact that in SoCal every 4th car is a P-Car.

I've been trying to get into the habit of cycling to work, but I end up occasionally not cycling-- not because I'm lazy, but because I can't tolerate not driving my 911.

Also, I would probably say "eager" rather than "anxious". It's the good kind of anticipation.

I text or IM my wife a couple of times a day saying "I want to drive my toy"

It's amusing how annoyed she gets

Excited is probably the word I'd use. And yes...particularly before an extended drive. Frankly, if I'm working from home and have no reason to leave the house, I'll gin up an otherwise unnecessary errand just to go for a 15 minute drive. Pretty great to have something I enjoy each and every time I use it.

Every time I get into the Porsche, I get ecstatic . It's even more so now with the S/C + Tubi.

I too share everyone’s sentiment here. My car is everything my wife isn’t: fast, responsive, and does what I tell her. J I sometimes also make up reasons to take an extra drive now and again.
