Possible to remove Sport buckets in 2009 C4S

Would like to replace them with something more comfortable. Is the wiring already there if I swap them out for adaptive, etc?

They should be easy to sell, yes?

Thanks in advance.

Buckets easy to sell, yes. Wiring harness for Adaptives, however, will probably not be there.

Not ever done a seat swap on a 997, but have on many other makes and models, and its always been relatively simple provided the right background research is done first.

Somethings I've found particularly useful..

- Check and double check wiring harnesses, often its worth taking the seats out collecting parts numbers, and checking via an online catalogue and comparing with model of seats you wish to fit.

- Airbag warning lights. When removing watch out not to trigger any warning lights as you disconnect the seats. Process different on cars, but usually disconnecting battery and leaving for 30 mins will be ok. However, you will need to check to be sure on a 997.

Finding an appropriate replacement set of seats will probably be the most tricky part. Especially if you have electric seats, memory etc.

Im currently trying to do exactly the same thing, swapping my standard seats for adaptive, whilst retaining all electrics, memory, and lumber support.

My dealer took my 09 adaptive sport seats and put them in an 09 C4S which had sport buckets. Those sport buckets went into my 09 Cayman S which had standard non power seats. Both of our cars worked fine after the swap. It was plug and play. The C4S did lose the memory button function as there was none on the car.

You bet. People do the sport seat vs bucket seat swap all the time. There are a few local gt3 guys I know that would do it...

you should be able to sell the sport seats for quiet a bit, but its very hard to find adaptive sport seats It is easy to find standard electric seats. You should try listing your seats to swap/trade and see what response you get

Thanks for the help folks -

FWIW - I don't have the car/seats in my possession. I'm contemplating my next P-car and found a C4S with sport buckets and was trying to determine if the swap could be made. Of course I'd lose out on the heated seat option.. :-(
