Help! thinking about trading in my 07 C4S
Hi
recently I've become a little more annoyed about the lack of a trunk for my golf clubs so my eyes have been wandering. Therefore, I'm considering the MB c63 coupe black series or Nissan GTR. Any opinions? I know this is the 997 board but I'm trying to stick with Porsche.
PS- Panamera feels to big for me so I'm not considering it.

hey
I didn't say I was trading it in. I said my eyes were wandering....
Option 2 is wait a couple of years and get a 991 and Option 3 is wait a year or 2 and get a 2010 997 turbo with PDK

Check out what REK125 said in this thread:

He just moved from a GTR to a 911. He might have some good insight for you.
God, I'm glad I hate golf.... :-)

Here is REK125's comment:
"I owned the GTR for over 3 years as my car was in the first batch that were delivered in the U.S. Mine had 540whp and 531wtq. I loved the fact that it was a beast and a sub 11 second car in the quarter. It was also a great car to track. People wanted to talk to me about it everywhere I went. However, I thought it was time for a change. It was not, imo, great as a daily driver. I had owned several 911s in the past and really wanted a more civilized road car. I do miss it but I do not regret making the change."

what about a beater pickup for the clubs, keep the C4S and trade for the turbo you really want?

actually kinda like the Targa idea. I'd have to hold out for the 991 though and not sure what the targa design will be like if it can accommodate golf clubs.
owning 3 cars is not an option for me for various reasons....

- Get a 'sunday' bag. That traditional solution to playing a round without a caddy also works for cars with limited storage. Leave the driver at home of course.
- Get an NSX. Ours handled two carry bags with drivers, just as advertised. And it ran the *** off contemporary Carreras, to which I attribute the lovely 997 models we enjoy now. Of course, they were built in volumes low enough to make a GT3 blush to feel so common, so they are horribly expensive on the used market. Our '99 went for $33k with 140,000 miles on it.
- Rent a locker and leave your bag at the club. Which may be more expensive than an NSX or a new Carrera if you have to join one first.

most likely I'll opt for a 991 with PDK or 997 turbo with PDK. I just like the idea of having a car that I won't need to mod right out of the box which is why I was considering a c63 coupe black series.
The coilovers and sway bars on my present car are driving me crazy with all the strange noises they produce....
