Disappointing Day

So I am in a parking lot today waiting for the car ahead of me to move when all of a sudden I feel and hear a loud crunch. A lady on her cell phone in an suv backs out right into my left rear quarter panel. There is a large dent/ crease in the panel, broken tail light and several scratches in the rear bumper cover. The impact was hard enough to cause my rear spoiler panel to shift about a 1/2" to the side and also about 1/2 " up in the air. Anybody recommend a good body shop in Houston? I've only had the car for three months, really disappointed. I'm also concerned about loss of value.

Sorry to here about this. Its a pain no one likes to deal with.

Check with you local dealer and local porsche indy shops for recommendations of body shops.

Check the diminished value laws in your state and press the issue with your insurance company and the ladys also.

Good luck

Bad news. Took my youngest to buy a skateboard yesterday and I had to leave the store and move my car because of all the nut cases parking so close to it. I hate parking it unless I can put it in the back of the lot.

I hate parking lots. Too many idiots. IMO, parking lots are the highest risk areas to be, and have had many close calls, avoided only because I was being super attentive in avoiding other people who weren't. Good luck with your repairs. A good shop should be able to make things like new again.

My sincere condolences, it reminds me of a situation I had 2 days ago,

when I watched a woman parking right next to my car being unable to leave hers without bumping her door in mine. So I was waiting watching the situation getting ready to exchange information and all of a sudden i was like "WTF ,no way" and went there to hold her door preventing her from bumping mine - she was almost unable to leave her car She said she'll be back in 10 so I went to find another parking

+1 on checking the diminished value laws. You may get compensated for the depreciation hit. Make sure you keep all documentation and take pictures for the next owner. It will help a lot down the road.

Good luck with it.

I have been using Midtown Auto in Houston on Kirby and Wroxton for a long time. Its near the Village in the west u area. They have always done a great job on my 911. My dad swears by them as well and my friend has a red cayman that was recently T boned in the shop there right now. Ron is the name of the guy that runs the place and you will be in good hands wiht him. Sorry to hear about the accident.... hope this helps.
