Ssk 997.2

A few days ago I sat in a car at Porsche of the Village which had a short shift kit in it. Up until then I didn't think there would be much of a difference in the feel, wrong. I got out of the car walked over to the parts counter and ordered the SSK along and scheduled the install with the service advisor. I already had an alignment scheduled so they were able to work in with the alignment.

I just got the car back after the install and the shifter feels great. As others have said it is a good modification at a marginal cost.

You should also think about the solid shift linkage. It will feel even better.

I've thought about putting a SSK in my car, but not entirely sure this is something I should try to DIY or just leave it to the dealer service...thinking that's the smartest thing to do.

As for the SSK itself, is it that important to go with OEM SSK, or how about the Agency Power set (with Solid Linkage) or B&M. Any thoughts (other than Porsche warranty on OEM stuff)?
