What would be a fair purchase price for this 2011 997 Carrera S?

Prices will only drop over time. Time is on your side. You owe it to yourself you considered the new 991? Pricing wise you are close.
Good Luck!

No, I haven't considered because I just assumed it would be higher priced than a 2011, not to even mention a 2012.

I was at a dealership today and the salesperson told me he had one December build slot left for a 2013.

While I was there I fell in love with a Porsche I had not even considered, especially in the color combo it had.

A brand spanking new Carrera GTS Platinum Silver with Red interior. Believe me, it worked for this car. Salesperson said he would make me a great deal on the car and my wife said she was going to give me a great deal if I even considered the price, a GREAT DEAL OF PAIN!!! I thought he was going to split a gut laughing!

I went there to look at a 2009 C4S with PDK, Meteor Gray / Full Black that was supposed to be near mint. Well, they must have moved whatever mint car it was near because it wasn't no where close. I pointed out several noticeable botched paint touch ups and dings and it had a terrible detail job. Not what I expected.

Maybe I'm too picky on previously owned. Wife says I'm probably only going to be happy with new.

The search continues...

I should just bite the bullet and buy the Platinum Silver / Red. It had all of the typical "S" options but I dread trying to convince the wife that we need a $100k+ car with a fire extinguisher strapped in front of the driver's seat.

Day 60 of the search...

Convincing the wife will never be easy, even with mods! If the car makes you smile and you can afford the $$ then buy it.

That's my color combo and I love it! I get a lot of looks, unless they are laughing at me?
